Public financial assistance for everyday living
Public financial assistance for everyday living is a system for families who are truly in need due to reduced income caused by illness, injury, old age or becoming a single-parent household.
The goal is to help people regain independence by helping them find employment and providing the money necessary to live each month.
To obtain this assistance, foreign nationals must be permanent residents, long-term residents, spouses of permanent residents, spouses or children of Japanese nationals, or special permanent residents (North or South Korean or Taiwanese residents in Japan).
